The American Legion is a nationwide veterans organization dedicated to serving veterans, active-duty military, and our communities. Founded in 1919 by World War I veterans, the Legion continues a proud tradition of service, patriotism, and fellowship.

Our mission is built on four pillars:

• Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation – Supporting veterans and their families

• National Security – Promoting a strong national defense and honoring those who serve

• Americanism – Encouraging patriotism, citizenship, and respect for the flag

• Children & Youth – Investing in the next generation through programs and mentorship

Here at Ripon Post 190, we honor the service of all who wore the uniform, preserve the legacy of our nation’s veterans, and give back to the Ripon community through events, volunteer service, and support for local youth and families.
